During our Strategic Planning prep session on August 18th, we looked at a number of recent strategic plans created by a variety of different academic libraries, including several from the UC system.  Some of the characteristics that we would aim for in the UCSC Library Strategic Plan are:  focused, few key priorities, user-centered, outcomes based, indication of potential strategies, direct & succinct language, not "laundry lists".  I invite other attendees at Monday's session to express some of the other Plan characteristics that were considered positive attributes.

 

If you would like to look at a few of the plans that seem to match some of these attributes, some that we had available on Monday are linked below.  I'm glad to see that others are posting additional examples too!
