During our Strategic Planning prep session on August 18th, we looked at a number of recent strategic plans created by a variety of different academic libraries, including several from the UC system. Some of the characteristics that we would aim for in the UCSC Library Strategic Plan are: focused, few key priorities, user-centered, outcomes based, indication of potential strategies, direct & succinct language, not "laundry lists". I invite other attendees at Monday's session to express some of the other Plan characteristics that were considered positive attributes.
